Laura Da’

Board Member, Indigenous Nations Poets

Laura Da’ is a poet and teacher. A lifetime resident of the Pacific Northwest, Da’ studied creative writing at the University of Washington and The Institute of American Indian Arts. Da’ is the recipient of fellowships from the Academy of American Poets and The Native Arts and Culture Foundation.  She has served as Poet Laureate of Redmond, Washington and Poet Planner for King County, Washington. Da’s books include, Tributaries, winner of the American Book Award, Instruments of the True Measure, winner of the Washington State Book Award, and Severalty. Da’ is Eastern Shawnee and she lives in Washington with her family.
