Ofelia Zepeda
Ofelia Zepeda is a Regents’ Professor of linguistics at the University of Arizona, and a poet writing in her native language. She is the author of Where Clouds are Formed and Ocean Power: Poems from the Desert. Ofelia has edited a volume of poetry, MAT HEKID O JU: WHEN IT RAINS and co-edited HOME PLACES: CONTEMPORARY NATIVE AMERICAN WRITINGS FROM SUN TRACKS. For ten years she served as a member of the literary advisory committee for SUN TRACKS, a Native American literary publication, and is currently the series editor. She is the cofounder of the American Indian Language Development Institute.
